Meet Judy Neiman. She’s an Author of Thrillers, Historical Fiction and Paranormal Novels. Judy is on the Board of Directors of the Coalition Against Human Trafficking in Verde Valley and Northern Arizona, a Private Pilot, and was once the CEO of a Hazardous Waste Management Corporation. She’s definitely a woman of many talents.
She is someone passionate about spreading the word and awareness about human sex trafficking and how to save children from that criminal activity.
Judy’s Personal Focus Right Now.
Judy’s main project is focusing on getting her last book – her third book – published. It’s called “Stop Sex Trafficking in America”. It is based on true stories of children, girls and boys being kidnapped or coerced into sex trafficking. It took her about 2 and half years to finish this book. Judy is on the Board of Directors of the Coalition against Human Trafficking in Verde Valley and Northern Arizona. She does everything she can to spread the word to help everyone realize that this has become the most popular criminal activity in the United States over drug and gun sales. When a child is involved in sex trafficking they usually die, run away or become addicted to drugs. The number of children abducted and introduced to sex trafficking each year is between 150-175 thousand a year. It is a very profitable business for those doing the trafficking. This used to be very active in other countries like India, Philippines, etc… but it’s now rampant here. Judy discovered all of this information as she researched the book for 4 years.
This is such important work that Judy is doing and I asked her if there’s someone in the community that wanted to get involved to help this cause, how they go about doing that?
She told me to ”Go online to the Coalition Against Human Trafficking-Northern Arizona , they need volunteers and help. We are trying to spread the word. We can’t go in and intervene, but the more eyes we have to watch, and if you see something and tell the authorities you could save a child’s life, that’s wonderful.”
Where’s the book now… ‘The book is now on Amazon and it’s going to be in bookstores.’
Judy is out and about a lot in Sedona and you’ll often see her at local restaurants… I asked her What’s her favorite restaurant in Sedona….
She said:I went to The Vault not too long ago and I was surprised how nice it is, I love the view there. But of course, Mariposa is one of my favorites and El Rincon.
What’s on the bucket list of this long term Sedona Resident?
She said… “I want to write a New York Best Seller!”
What a delight! Judy’s story is so very interesting, and talking with her certainly identifies her as a true Face of Sedona.
