Q: Tell us a little about your career and what you love most about what you do.
I have been involved with Physical Therapy and bodywork for over 40 years. It has been a fantastic profession, allowing me to incorporate my love of dance, fitness, the power of a therapeutic touch, and multiple aspects of mind-body integrative healing.
I love helping my patients move beyond their pain and limitations. I help them re-envision their path back to wellness and provide them with the tools to facilitate their transformation.
At our clinic, Sedona MediSpa & Wellness, we have created a beautiful place for healing and intelligent medical care. It is a very special place to work.

Q: Favorite restaurants?
Linda and I used to enjoy Vince’s Little Star, an old-style Italian restaurant in Cornville before the pandemic took it down. We go to Rene’s for special occasions. I do most of the cooking (and Linda most of the cleaning) at our house. It seems like the best meals we have are the ones we make at home, with love.

Q: How long have you lived in our community?
About 21 years.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you have met in the area?
My wife Linda.

Q: Any travel plans?
Bali is high on our list, because of the way they integrate art and spirituality into their culture. Linda and I are also looking forward to returning to Ireland and Scotland, where we both have roots.

Q: What are a few of your favorite movies?
Apocalypse Now, Outlaw Josey Wales, Princess Bride, Groundhog Day

Q: What advice would you give to a crowd of people?
Breathe deeply and practice Gratitude

Q: What is on your bucket list?
I’m going to build a large greenhouse this spring to bring the energy of Hawaii to Arizona. I’ve also got a couple of books I’m looking forward to completing.

Q: Who is your go-to band?
I often start my day listening to IZ singing “What a wonderful world”.

Q: Dead or alive, who would you choose to have lunch with and where?
Barack Obama, because of our Chicago connection and because I think he is bright and compassionate with a healthy perspective on life. I would take him to Hudson’s or Mariposa, for the red rock views.

Q: Your favorite/unique thing about our community?
The sacred land and the trails. That’s what defines and makes Sedona special.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?
Though well past “retirement age”, Linda and I still love our professional lives and our clinic. We’ll still be practicing there for at least 5 years, although we plan on taking more time off for travel.

Q: Something interesting most people don’t know about you?
That I cry most freely when I see love beautifully expressed.

Q: Where is the most beautiful place you have experienced?
Sedona before it became over-commercialized and The Ocean, almost anywhere.

Q: What is your favorite holiday?
Thanksgiving, without a doubt.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
Eckart Tolle; not so much to be better but to be present, real, and fully available.

Q: Three words or phrases that come to mind with the word HOME?
“Raven Tree Ranch”, where we, along with about seventy other beings, are working to create heaven on earth.
