Andie Snyder

Meet Andie Snyder.  So many locals know Andie as a Personal Development/Relationship Coach.  You will see her at many events and special occasions.  Here is her story and some info about the contributions she makes to  many people in the community.

Q:  Can you tell us what you do?

A: I do a lot of things for so many people here in Sedona. I have an Airbnb business. My business is in support of tourism, and I enjoy having it available to those who come to visit Sedona. I also worked as a mental health counselor for Spectrum, and I enjoy supporting the local community with the counseling that I provide. One of my favorite things that I have a passion for is the dating and relationship coaching that I do in helping people create extraordinary relationships in their lives.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Sedona?

A: I have a lot of favorite restaurants. I like to eat Italian food, so Gerardo’s is one of my favorites. It’s what I call ‘homey style Italian food,’ and I love to interact with Gerardo himself. I also like Dahl & Di Luca and Picazzo’s, especially for gluten-free pizza. And when I’m not in the mood for Italian, I will go to Hudson’s.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in Sedona?

A: I moved here in 1993 and left in 2015, but after a year, I came back to Sedona.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

A: One of my favorite places is Monterey. It is beautiful, and I love the ocean.

Q: What is your favorite movie, OR what is the first movie you remember seeing in a theatre?

A: One of the movies that changed my life was Dirty Dancing. I just loved the idea , as a kid, of learning how to dance in such a romantic way. And ‘Fame’  inspired me to pursue performing arts.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?

A: I want to travel more in Europe. I haven’t been to Greece. I would like to go to Italy and New Zealand. There are a lot of different places that I’d like to visit, especially one of the National Parks.

Q: What is your favorite music?

A: I have to say Contra dancing because I can listen to it and dance at the same time.

Q: What current/former local business makes you the most nostalgic about Sedona?

A: Sedona itself! To experience the Red Rocks when I come home and feeling its vibrations. I can sense the difference being here versus being someplace else. The beauty is just tremendous. I love being here.

Q: Choosing anyone with who would you love to have lunch, who would that be?

A: Jack Canfield. I got to meet him once, and talk with him. He’s an amazing man. I follow him on the Internet, and I just loved the work that he does. I’d like to have more conversations with him.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about Sedona?

A: My favorite thing about Sedona is it is so easy to be in a positive mindset and state of gratitude. I can wake up in the morning, and there’s always something that I can reflect on that puts me in a good mood. I could be in traffic, and traffic is not bad because I have this beauty to reflect on.

Q: Where do you see yourself in five or ten years?

A: I see myself here. I never used to say that. When I first moved here in 1993, I thought it would take me a month, and I would end up leaving Sedona. That was a big joke! I did go only to come back. I guess I’m here for a reason. I feel like this is home for me after 27 years.

Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?

A: I’m pretty much an open book, so when people asked me private things, I shared it with them. I have two cats, and they’re like my children. I talk to them, and I feel like I am an animal communicator.

Q: What three words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?

A: My home is like a tree house. It feels like it’s in a state of harmony, and I feel grateful every day to be there.

Q: If you could have a full-time staff member, whom would you choose?  (Chef, Housekeeper, Driver, Coach, Physical Fitness Trainer, or Nanny?)

A: I want them all!  I would like a full-time personal assistant that could do all those things. (Except for the Nanny’!

Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?

A: I would probably say that love is so important, not to settle, not to sacrifice. Just open your heart, love yourself, and share that love with others.
